Developers in the nation’s capital are urged to work closely with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration on tax payments, according to Minister Nyesom Wike.
The Minister made these remarks during a courtesy visit to the FCT Administration on Wednesday by a group from the Nadeem Group, which was led by Mr. George Tolofari, Special Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer.
Wike asked businesses in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to make sure that taxes are paid on time, stating that without tax payments, the government would not be able to create public buildings and roads.
Wike said “…I also encourage you to make sure that you pay your taxes because that is what drives the government.”
“Abuja is not like other states where they get money from the Federation Account. We are only relying on taxes”
Along with assuring investors that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was a secure place to invest, he said that the administration of the FCT prioritized security and job development in accordance with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
