Vince McMahon is facing new charges about his actions while in head of WWE.
In January, McMahon resigned as TKO’s Executive Chairman after being charged of sex trafficking, which he denied.
Meanwhile, a fresh revelation has emerged about former WWE star Ashley Massaro, who committed suicide in 2019 eight months after a lawsuit was dismissed in which she claimed head injuries from her wrestling career caused her to spiral into despair.
According to Vice, a previously unreleased statement made before her death describes some additional alleged McMahon behavior relating to Massaro.
In 2016, Massaro claimed that members of the United States Armed Forces drugged and sexually abused her during a WWE tour in Kuwait in 2006.
She further accused McMahon of abuse and that WWE had prevented her from reporting the alleged sexual assault.
Following Massaro’s suicide, WWE released a statement saying that they were never made aware of the retired wrestler’s claims.
The statement went like this ‘At no time was Vince McMahon or the management of WWE ever informed by Ashley Massaro or anybody else that she had been sexually assaulted, drugged, raped or sodomized by a military doctor with a nurse standing guard while on a goodwill tour in 2007 to U.S. military bases in Kuwait.’
‘In fact, if she ever articulated such a claim to WWE, we would have reported it immediately to the Base Commander.
‘At no time was there ever a meeting with Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn, John Laurinaitis or other company executives in which she told them of such a claim and was instructed to keep it quiet.’
In the latest declaration, Massaro claims that McMahon sexually preyed on female wrestlers and that she was penalized on-screen for refusing his advances.
It is believed that McMahon sent Massaro terrible screenplays in order to undermine her reputation, which was a typical occurrence.
Former WWE executive John Laurinaitis has also been listed as a defendant in the case.
His lawyer alleged that McMahon and other WWE executives, including Laurinaitis, were aware of Massaro’s accusations.
