Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has confirmed that left-back Zaidu Sanusi would be evaluated further ahead of the team’s match against Cote d’Ivoire.
Sanusi missed the Super Eagles’ semi-final victory over South Africa owing to a slight hamstring injury.
“Zaidu trained with the team yesterday. We have another training later, we will check if he can play,” Peseiro told reporters on Saturday.
Nigeria will meet hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the competition’s final on Sunday at the Alassanne Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan.
