Cesc Fabregas, a former Chelsea player, praised defender Benoit Badiashile following the Blues’ 3-1 FA Cup victory against Aston Villa.
Fabregas and Badiashile played together at Monaco in the French Ligue 1.
Chelsea defeated Unai Emery’s side at Villa Park for their FA Cup fourth-round replay on Wednesday.
Their initial meeting ended 0-0 at Stamford Bridge last month.
Speaking on the Planet Premier League Podcast, Fabregas said:
“I played with [Axel] Disasi and Badiashile.
“Badiashile is one of the best ball-playing centre-backs in all the young players in Europe, there is a lot of quality and a lot of talent.”
