West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui acknowledges that all coaches must face pressure

As they get ready for Manchester United’s visit, West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui recognizes the strain all coaches are under. Mohammed Kudus gave the Irons an early lead, but they lost 4-1 to Tottenham last weekend.

Under Lopetegui, who succeeded David Moyes in the summer and has been increasingly questioned about his team’s future, this was their fourth Premier League loss. After a 1-1 tie at Fenerbahce, Erik ten Hag’s individual performance showed no signs of slowing down, raising questions about his job.

Lopetegui, however, thinks that the team is striving to reach their ideal position at the end of the season and that this scrutiny is a necessary component of the job description.

He has faith in the players’ ability and thinks that hard work, self-criticism, and improvement are the only ways to succeed. The group is pursuing this objective.

“When you become a coach, you live with pressure always. This is normal, and sometimes it is good too. It is our kind of life,”

“It is true we didn’t have the best start or start (the way) we wanted to have.

“But in the same way, we are sure we are doing the steps ahead and are going to be able to arrive at the end of the season in the position we want to be.

“There are a lot of matches in front of us. I believe a lot in these players and I am sure the results are going to arrive.

“The only way is to work hard, try to be self-critics and be able to improve, and we are, this is the way we work,” Lopetegui said.
