Seventy people have been injured and 105 people have died as a result of a truck explosion in Jigawa State.
Petrol from the truck leaked into a gutter, where it was later sucked up by villagers who were attempting to remove fuel from the drainage system, causing the explosion.
After the public, police, and firefighters put out the fire, 105 bodies were removed and 70 injured people were taken to Hadejia and Ringim General Hospitals for treatment. The tragedy emphasizes how urgently the area needs to combat fires.
