Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has emphasized that Angola is not in Ivory Coast by chance during the current 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, or AFCON.
Peseiro stated this during his pre-match briefing on Thursday, before of Nigeria’s quarter-final encounter against Angola on Friday evening.
“They [Angola] are not here by luck. They have shown a lot of capability to reach the quarter-finals,” the 63-year-old tactician said.
“Our team has scored 5 goals in 4 matches so far. We will attack with 11 and defend with 11 as well.”
Nigeria head to the game after beating Cameroon 2-0 in the round of 16.
Angola, on the other hand, defeated Namibia 3-0.
