Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has emphasized the importance of civil servants’ dedication and hard work

The significance of civil servants’ commitment and diligence in Nigerian government operations has been underscored by Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, the Head of the Federation’s Civil Service.

In her 2024 Independence Day statement, she stressed that their everyday efforts are the driving force behind Nigeria’s growth. Since civil workers’ commitment and diligence are essential to government operations, Walson-Jack urged them to carry out their responsibilities to the highest standard.

She highlighted their importance in the growth of the country as Nigeria marks 64 years of independence. The strategy and implementation plan for the Federal Civil Service 2021–2025 provides a road map for modernising operations, improving competencies, and creating a more effective, responsible, and responsive civil service.

According to Walson-Jack, genuine patriotism is carrying out one’s responsibilities with distinction and realising that one’s everyday labours are what propel Nigeria’s development.

She challenged federal servants to keep moving forward on their path to greatness, which would result in a civil service that is well-liked both domestically and abroad.
