Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has received an apology from the Elders Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party for the ongoing disagreement between him and their son, Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
The elders, under the direction of Boma Iyaye, apologised to Wike for the contempt he had shown him and encouraged him to stay as their governor and brother. Because of Fubara’s misbehaviour, they pleaded with Wike to stay and continue leading Rivers State.
The Ijaw people would not forget Wike, according to Ferdinard Anabraba, the Chairman of the Elders Forum, PDP Rivers State, who chastised the Fubara administration by saying that the anomalies in Rivers State government are evidence of a person’s lack of political responsibility.
He lauded Wike as the most renowned Ijaw politician with widespread national recognition and as a noteworthy strategist in Nigeria’s modern politics.
At the Rivers State Ijaw Peoples Congress in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the elders forum apologised.
