Charly Boy talks about having Kids with Tyna Onwudiwe

The artist Charly Boy has disclosed that he was on the verge of marrying the late singer Tyna Onwudiwe, but ultimately chose not to. He remembered hearing rumours that some of Tyna Onwudiwe’s children were his.

He remembered that Tyna was a lovely soul who would give her last penny to a stranger, and that they became excellent friends. He wanted someone to support him in his fight against cancer, despite the jokes made about him calling her his wife.

Even some of her children were mistaken for his. Charly Boy stated that he raised money for Tyna during her illness, but sadly, the illness took her life. On June 29, 2001, Tyna Onwudiwe passed away, barely 17 days after turning 47.

He said, “I almost married Tyna Onwudiwe. One day, we sat down and talked about it. I said, oh, no, I don’t see myself marrying two wives.”

“And by the way, if we get married, we will kill ourselves. Let’s be good friends. And we became the best of all friends. Tyna was such a beautiful soul. She would give her last penny to a stranger. That was who she always was.

He added, “People used to tease me by calling her my wife. They said your wife has cancer. I wanted somebody, a female to help me with that. Because if I was doing it on my own, people will say, of course, is she not your girlfriend? Is she not your wife?

“In fact, some of her kids, people think they’re my kids.”
