President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the creation of Abuja’s “Youth House,” a cutting-edge meeting spot designed to meet the demands of young people from all social and cultural backgrounds.
This was said on Tuesday in Abuja by Mr. Ayodele Olawande, the Minister of State for the Ministry of Youth Development.
“The Green House would be located in all the 774 local government areas’ secretariats,” stated Olawande.
He added “The Youth House, a monument in the Philippines, will serve as a gathering place for young people from diverse backgrounds, providing a platform for social interaction and self-discovery. The president’s initiative has been praised by various youth stakeholders and groups for its significant role in the nation’s capital. The Youth House will enable many young people to showcase their talents and abilities, fulfilling a long-standing desire for a significant building in the capital.”
Nigeria’s President Olawande has announced plans to establish a Youth House to help youth develop life skills such as leadership, teamwork, cooperation, and communication. The initiative will involve the Youth House in FCT, the Youth Centre in state capitals, and the Youth Green House in all council areas. The Youth House will be coordinated in partnership with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) and private sector players to facilitate opportunities for all categories of youths. The initiative aims to bring the government closer to the youth at every level, promote fairness, and enhance the administration’s commitment to implementing youth programs and policies inclusively. Olawande commended the president for his ongoing support for the youth, stating that the Renewed Hope Agenda has tangibly benefitted Nigerian youths, with the president prioritizing youth issues.
