Kaduna reiterates its imposition of a 24-hour curfew

According to the Kaduna State Security Council, the 24-hour curfew that was placed on the metropolitan areas of Kaduna and Zaria, as well as their surroundings, is still in effect and hasn’t been reviewed.
Contrary to speculations, curfew enforcement by state security services is still underway, according to a statement released on Wednesday by Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs.

He continued by advising the populace to rigorously adhere to the curfew and to only get updates through official sources in order to ensure accuracy and reliability.

He emphasised that at this time, people should follow the curfew and disregard false information, and he added that the State Security Council would issue updates via official channels as needed.

On Monday, the demonstrators got together again and marched down the city’s main avenues while brandishing Russian flags.

The state administration was compelled by the incident to impose a 24-hour curfew on the cities of Kaduna and Zaria.
