The Nigerian women’s basketball team made history in Paris 2024 by making it to the last eight of the Olympics and defeating a formidable Canadian squad, rated fifth in the world!
On Sunday, Nigeria’s D’Tigress guaranteed her spot in the women’s basketball quarterfinals of the 2024 Olympic Games.
By the end of the first quarter, the two teams were tied at eighteen points apiece.
D’Tigress was only four points (41-37) behind their opponents at the half, but they were still very much in the game.
The third quarter saw a comeback by the African champs, who now lead 55-46.
After all was said and done, Nigeria came out on top 79–70.
