Nancy Pelosi, the former speaker of the US House of Representatives, has backed Vice President Kamala Harris to win the Democratic presidential nomination.
This came as Pelosi revealed that it was time for the Democrats to come together and unseat Republican Party presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Pelosi posted the following on X: “Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year.
“Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump.”
This came after President Joe Biden chose to support Harris to represent the party in the upcoming presidential contest.
Following his withdrawal from the presidential contest due to performance and health issues, Biden had endorsed Harris.
