Wayne Rooney, a former England striker, has stated that he wants the Three Lions to beat Portugal in the Euro 2024 final.
The Euro 2024 began last Friday in Germany.
England has already won its first game against Serbia.
Portugal will face the Czech Republic in their first group encounter on Tuesday night.
Speaking on The Overlap, Rooney stated:
“Just because of my experiences, I would say Portugal [as the team I want England to beat the most]. Broke me in 2004, I got sent off in 2006, and they beat us on penalties both times.
“I’d love to see England beat Portugal in the final [of Euro 2024].”
