Tinubu must leave; we are hungry – Nigerians protest poverty

As Nigerians commemorate Democracy Day on June 12, some dissatisfied citizens demonstrated on Wednesday against the country’s current status.

The dissatisfied Nigerians came to the streets to protest hunger and economic hardship.

In Lagos State, some demonstrators assembled in Ikeja stated it was time to remove President Bola Tinubu’s administration from office.

They centered their demand on the economic hardship that Nigerians are experiencing, emphasizing that “Nigerians can’t feed their families comfortably under Tinubu”.

The protesters displayed placards bearing messages such as, ‘President Tinubu, let the poor breath’, and ‘Reverse all anti-people, Neoliberal policies of privatisation’.

In a post on X, one of the protesters said, “We called for it and we are on the street in Ikeja Under Bridge. The tyrannical and oppressive government of @officialABAT must be shown the way out. We are hungry and angry. WeAreHungryProtest. June12Protest.”

Similarly, in Abuja, dissatisfied Nigerians gathered under the Berger Bridge to condemn the Tinubu administration.
