FA Cup: Klopp speaks on the 4-3 defeat to Man United

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, offered his thoughts on the team’s 4-3 FA Cup quarterfinal loss to Manchester United on Sunday.

On two instances, United scored two equalizers just minutes away from the Reds’ two-minute window of opportunity to qualify.

At Old Trafford, Amad Diallo then scored a late goal to seal the victory in extra time.

Klopp’s dreams of achieving a quadruple in his final season at Anfield are dashed by the defeat.

Klopp says to ITV,“We could have won the game and we would have deserved it. But United deserved it as well.

“At 2-1 up we had so many chances to kill the game. Last pass not right, or in a rush in some moments. The rest is already history, if you want.

“The longer the game goes, the decision-making does not get any better. Congratulations to United, going to the semi-final, we have a game less, or have two games less, and we try to use that in the next few weeks.”
