Ten Hag returning to Ajax, A previous manager of a Dutch club gets shortlisted

According to the Daily Mirror, Ajax has assembled a shortlist of potential managers that includes departing Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders and their previous manager Erik ten Hag.

In light of Ajax’s challenging season, John van ‘t Schip is the team’s interim manager at the moment.

Though Ten Hag could be granted the position, the article states that Lijnders is “the most realistic option” as new CEO Alex Kroes makes plans for the future.

Ten Hag has one more year left on his current Old Trafford contract, and Sir Jim Ratcliffe will make the decision over his future this summer at Man Utd.
